You can find All Color Powder Coating in Oregon, Wisconsin. They've been there for quite a few years. I asked Bill deMartino, the production manager at All Color, how many sales people they had and his response was that they have no sales staff, relying entirely on repeat business and word of mouth referrals. This speaks to the quality of their work. Both the Sport Legends bike frame and the UW Bucky Bike frame have been powder coated by All Color. The Sport Legend bike got a gloss black powder coat and the Bucky Bike was coated in a matte black.Bucky Bike frame freshly powder coated by All Color Powder Coating They both look great.

All Color is setup with two lines, one for volume production runs and a second line for one off custom work. Both the frames were done in their custom line. The process is interesting to watch. The word "powder" is quite true, the raw material looks like face powder. Very fine and soft to the touch. The process involves electrical charges - the piece is grounded, so it is negative and the powder is charged which makes it positive. The piece is suspended on a conveyor belt, which provides the ground, and slowly moves through the powder bay. After leaving the bay covered in powder it is in a fragile state with the powder being only loosely adhered to the surface. It can rub off if it is touched. From the bay it goes into a furnace where the piece is heated. The heat is intense enough to literally melt the powder onto the surface. Once melted, the powder will then stick to the surface.
