Q: When will this DVD be available?
A: As of Feb 25, 2007, Gilda's Bike is still under construction, which mean the high def video is still being shot and edited.
Q: What do I get on this DVD?
A: On the DVD that covers the building of the Gilda's Club bike, you get:
- A great research tool to use and reuse as you go about deciding on what you want to build
- A tale told from the viewpoint of a first-time bike builder who was able to successfully build a custom motorcycle using normal tools found in a pretty standard garage.
- A 2 DVD set containing over 4 hours of broadcast quality video intended for television viewing. Most of the video is dedicated to building the bike. The video was shot by professional camera operators. It was edited in Final Cut Pro by an Emmy award winning editor.
There are also multiple interviews:
- There are a series of printable documents on the DVDs including:
- Questions to Ask Your Vendor
- Design Issues we considered or discovered during the Spiral Bike build
- Notes that compliment the DVD and add further explanation of topics in the episodes
- a COMPLETE parts list including the prices 2WF paid in late 2004 and early 2005.
- menus accessible with your TV remote that allow you to move around the DVD and pick and choose the episodes you want to watch
- an index, which allows you to move through the word list in the index, select one and go right to that section
- a narrated slide show, containing about 60 still images taken during the build, with a voiceover explaining each image.
